Do bride and groom attend the after wedding brunch
My wedding is Friday and my fiance and I are not sure if we need to attend the post wedding brunch that is being hosted by my mother. It is at her home and the out of towners are invited. It's mostly her friends. One of my friends will be there, none of my fiance's friends or family. What is the right thing to do? Will people expect us to be there? Thanks

It is optional to attend. Often this is just a gathering for the out of towners.
