Do we invite hired help to the rehearsal dinner?

Do I invite the pianist, organist and wedding director to the rehearsal dinner? If so, do I extend the invite to their spouses? We understand to invite those involved (attendants) in the rehearsal to the dinner; however, the pianist, organist and wedding director are being paid for their services. Should we still extend the invitation, or is it left to us to choose? We just do not want to make an error in etiquette. Thank you ladies!

Dear Hankshoney,

Bravo on wanting to do the right thing. You are correct that it is discretional. If you do invite them, it is polite to include their significant others.

Best wishes,
