Does mother of the bride have to pay for half wedding costs

Will make this as short as possible. I am mob, divorced. Explained I would help as much as possible, but daughter and my ex seems to think i should pay for half of wedding. I am not in the position to do that. Ex & and I do get along, but I refuse to take out a loan and ex & daughter feel I owe her this. Am I responsible for half? Thank you and what a wonderful site!

The short answer is no, parents are not responsible for paying for any of the wedding. However, this topic has been addressed many times in past posts. Please be sure to search the site for your answer before posting. And, I understand you want to try to make the post as brief as possible, but, please do use proper grammar and punctuation so that we can read and understand your questions as easily as possible.

Enjoy the wedding.
