Does wedding cake baker have to send a wedding gift

I received an invitation to a wedding for which I am designing the cakes. Normally I am not invited to the wedding.

Do I need to buy a gift? UnsureGiving all or part of the cake preparation is not an option.

Dear Dibbers,

Typically vendors are not invited to the wedding, besides the facilitator, and this person is not expected to give a gift. So, this is not typical. The couple must consider you a guest. If you attend, you are expected to send the couple a gift. It doesn't have to be expensive. If you are simply finishing the cake and leaving, then you are not expected to send a gift.

Best wishes,
