     Elopement Etiquette

If my fiancee and I plan on eloping and some people want to come along are we responsible to pay their way?

We have just purchased a home, my fiancee is not working and is going to be immigrating to Canada so finances are really tight right now.

Thanks in advance for any answers / advice

Dear Anne,

You are not expected to pay for anyone besides your attendants, which really doesn't apply here. Normally, you would offer something for your guests though. But, if you haven't 'invited' them, you are fine.

Best wishes,
