Etiquette for wording cancelled wedding notes

What is the proper wording to use for a cancelled/postponed wedding? Formal invitations went out and I now have only two weeks to get the cancellation notes out and am having trouble with the wording. Help anyone

Thanks

Dear Lowergi,

At this late date, it may be best to call your guests. But, you could also send out simply worded notes stating that your wedding, for XXX date, has been canceled. There is no need to go into details.

Best wishes,
