My fiance and I are planning on going to Las Vegas to get married but family and friends keep saying that they want to come too. We weren't planning on haveing a reception or anything but now feel obligated to tell everyone when we are planning on going and make it into a big deal.
Is it ok to say this is the time and place - if you are there great but we don't want to have a big party.

Dear Fubargirl,
If you are not inviting, then you are not obligated to provide a party or to cater to your guests. So, it is best not to contact anyone who hasn't asked to be included. Inform only those who ask and make it clear that you wanted this to be simple with no party, so there won't be one.
