How much to tip wedding minister

What is the proper amount to tip the wedding minister? My fiance and I are not members of the church we are getting married at but have done marriage counseling with the minister who is going to marry us. Can you advise?

I just read an article in a bridal magazine that recommended a donation of $500-plus to the church if you are not a member (much higher if you are), and an optional tip for a non-denonimational officiant of $50-$100. Considering that you did your marriage counseling with him, I would recommend generousity if you were pleased.

I don't always get tipped. But when I have been, it has usually been about $100.

I hope this helps.
