How to plan your wedding date around a friends?

So here is the deal. My bf's best friend proposed to his girlfriend in Feburary. They are getting married next july. I got engaged in september and want to get married next summer, but is it poor etiquette to have a wedding before your friend that was engaged before you??? And how much time should pass between weddings?? a month?? Help

Both you and your friend can get married whenever you like. However, if you're very close and you think you will be in the bridal party or, at least, attending the prewedding parties, you might want to try to set them as far apart as possible so those dates don't become overbooked. If you were sisters, or family, the answer would be different because you may be inviting the same guests to attend big events too close to one another and you may also be asking them to travel. But, in the case of friends, I would say do your best to schedule as far apart as possible.
