My daughter has some space limitations for the wedding ceremony guest list. My husband and I are hosting a cruise the day after the wedding, to which all the wedding guests will be invited. My daughter and her fiance wonder if they can expand the guest list to the cruise to include co-workers? Many of their co-workers know about the wedding and are friends, in a professional sense. Is it rude to invite them to this celebratory party, but not to the wedding and reception? Thank you for your answer.

Re: [cramer] Invite coworkers to day-after wedding party only

Dear Cramer,
This would be the second reception?
They could be invited to only the reception, but not to only part of it. So, if this is a continuation, it wouldn't be polite. It shouldn't be considered a gift giving event either or it could appear as if mining for gifts.
