Inviting Some Co-Workers and Not Others

I work for a small company of about 25 people. I would like to invite 5 of them to our wedding but don't know how to go about it without hurting the others feelings. Everyone is already telling the boss how he's going to have to shut down for the day because they will all be at the wedding. From the begining I have made it very clear that we are on a very tight budget because we are covering all the expenses ourselves. What more can I do????

Dear Jillian,

Just keep doing what you are doing, informing all that you are on a very tight budget. With the five who will be invited, ask them in private to keep their invitations quiet. It is your choice to invite anyone you wish and should be able to invite only those very close to you. But, with a company this close, they just may get their feelings hurt knowing that you invited just a chosen few.

Your choice, but it may be best not to invite anyone from work.

Best wishes,
