     Inviting only part of family

If I want to keep my wedding small, but have a very large family, is it acceptable for me to only inivte the family member I am close to?

You can invite and exclude anyone you want to but be prepared for the fallout.

This is true. We often have to choose because of venue size or perhaps just because we can't stand another joke from Uncle Bob. But, the fallout can be gruesome.
