If I want to keep my wedding small, but have a very large family, is it acceptable for me to only inivte the family member I am close to?

This is true. We often have to choose because of venue size or perhaps just because we can't stand another joke from Uncle Bob. But, the fallout can be gruesome. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
