I have a friend who is planning a wedding and she has asked me if it was acceptable to have one on a Monday. I personally have not known anyone who has done such a thing and am not sure if there is some reason that she should not do so. The only thing I could think of is that most people have to work on Mondays so maybe getting the time off would be more difficult. Any ideas you have on this thought would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You, Jade

Hi Jayde:
You know, there is really no etiquette rule about this but it is polite to consider your guest's comfort and convenience when hosting any event so I would think that having the wedding on a Monday might be inconvenient for most working people. Is there a reason she wants to have it on a Monday? Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

Hello Jade,
I agree with the Wedding Queen that there is no etiquette rule about this and the biggest problem would be that it is a 'work night'. So, this should be a major consideration; Guests have to work on Tuesday.
