I'll try to keep this short and as clear as I can.
Employed, college grad daughter getting married to very successful man. Couple lives together in another state.
Her parents are divorced, but both remarried, and want to help with wedding finances. Daughter and fiance look to have large expensive wedding and initial planning points towards said couple paying for most of wedding expenses.
Father of bride would like to contribute as much as he can without going into a lot of debt, but no sure how much to give to daughter and fiance. (Fiance makes 10x + more/year than father of bride.) Father can possibly give up to $10,000, but fears wedding expenses may run 3x this.
Any words of wisdom?

No need for worries. As you mentioned, this couple is financially capable of hosting their own wedding. It is not the parent's responsibility. Give what you can aford to/want to give. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

I couldn't agree more. They are adults and living on their own. Anything you would like to give them would be a gift. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
