     Placecards ettiquette

I am trying to find ways to cut costs on a wedding budget that is more then my fiance and I would like. Is it okay to put married couples on the same place cards?

I.E.- Mr. & Mrs. David Smith Table 2

I think it is okay since the cards would be written in the same formality as the invitations and they are obviously going to be sitting together. My fiance thinks otherwise.

Dear Perth,

Everyone should have their own place cards at the table. But, you could have a master list with everyone's name at the reception and skip the cards that your guests receive.

Best wishes,
