     Receiving Your Guest

If we are having a formal receiving line as guests enter the cocktail hour at our reception, is it necessary to visit all the tables during the dinner/dancing reception to thank our guests for coming?

Dear Receiving,

It isn't necessary, but a nice gesture. You are essentially having a party for yourselves, so it is nice to thank your guests for sharing it with you.

Best wishes,
