     Registry Cards with Announcements

I received a wedding announcement only, not even an invitation, with registry cards in it. I was really upset! Surely this cannot be proper. I found it tacky and low class to do this. Should I express my opinion to the bride and groom? Please advise.

I agree, an announcement should not ask for a gift. I wouldn't tell the couple that they are being impolite. Send a gift if you want depending on your relationship with these people. I would just send a card wishing them well.

I completely agree on both accounts. We really cannot police other's manners.
