     Rehearsal dinner...

Is there a way we can word and/or be sure only spouses (not dates) of people in the wedding party come to the rehearsal dinner? For those who are single, we wish for them to come alone and not use this as an opportunity to bring a date. Is there a proper way this can be done? Can we specify to them somehow either via invite or verbally? Thank you.

Dear Only Spouses Please,

The invitation is a good tool. Only list the person who is invited. You would include spouses names when there is one. You could also inform them verbally that you are not inviting dates.

Best wishes,
