Rehearsal dinner for out of town guests.

My son's wedding rehearsal is on the same day as the wedding. I have out of town guests coming the night before. Am I obligated to entertain these people if there is not a formal rehearsal? If so, I don't really have a lot of money to spend. Probably about 35 people. Any ideas? Thanks.Unsure

Dear Bosco,

Inviting out of town guests to a rehearsal party is optional. But, it is better not to invite them. Only those involved in the rehearsal need be invited. In this case, there will be no dinner, which is fine as this is an optional event.

No, you are not obligated to entertain out of town guests.

Best wishes,
