     Seating at a buffet

My fiance's family has a few family feuds going on and also divorced parents that need to be seated separated. We are having a buffet reception. Would it be okay to have assigned seating for our guests? Or is that not okay with a buffet?

Thank you,

Becca

Beccers-

I've attended several buffet style receptions that had assigned seating. They had the wedding party (b&g with bm & gm) at rectaglular tables at the front and the guest seated at round tables. Each table was numbered and 6 guests assigned to each one- when guest arrived they checked in and received their name card and table #.

Hope this helps!!

I'm from a divorced family also

Not only CAN you have assigned seating but, in this case, you SHOULD have a seating arrangement.
