     Second shower/registry etiquette

This will be a second marriage for both bride and groom. We are not having a wedding and are not planning on a reception. We have mutual friends that have asked about giving us a wedding shower. We are unsure if registering or having a shower is proper. We need some helpful insight. Thank you so much for your assistance and time!

Registering for gifts is fine since some people may want to send a gift. However, only guests invited to the wedding can be invited to a shower, so omit the shower. This is true for all weddings, not just the second time around.
