Step-mons, step-dads vs real moms, real dads

Is there anything published to show where the step-parents and moms & dads sit at the wedding ceremony, the wedding reception, who stands where for pictures???

My friend is having an out-door wedding at her dad's house (both parents have remarried). However the step mom is trying to be the mom and is very pushy about the decision making (mom lives out of state). So my friend has asked me to step in as a wedding planner and keep mom and step mom from killing each other. I think my friend should have the wedding she wants and not what her step mom wants. But I do need to know where everyone should be standing/seated in regards to church, reception line, pictures - I can't find any information on that!

Thanks for anything!

Dear Step-moms,

A great, easy to read book with lots of details is, Bride's Book of Etiquette, by the Editors of Bride's Magazine. It will answer more than these questions and I'm sure you will have many before this is finished.

By the way, the parent who raised the bride sits in the front row with the divorced member sitting (with spouse) in the third row. Mom is usually this person in the front row.

Best wishes,
