     The Day After

I am having out of town guests for my wedding. Some couples hold brunches or other activites to meet with their out of town guests before the guests leave.
My fiance and I may have to leave the day after for our honeymoon trip, so we may not even see our guests after we leave the reception.
Is it rude to leave out of town guests without making an appearance?

Hello Denea,

No it is not rude to leave without seeing your guests again. Make the rounds at the reception and thank them for coming and move on. The majority of the brunches are held by the parents of the bride and groom, not necessarily by the couple themselves. Enjoy!

Dear Denea,

If there is any way for you to make an appearance at the brunch, please do. If you are leaving at 5:30 a.m., then wish everyone good-bye at the wedding and let them know you are leaving very early so they know why you are not there.

All the best,
