The Pastor and DJ for Dinner

I am having a small wedding at a local restaurant. It is a sit down dinner with menu choices. Is it appropriate or customary to ask the pastor who will perform the ceremony to join the guests for dinner, and ask for his dinner selection ? Also the DJ is a friend of a family member, should he and his wife also be asked to join the quests for dinner ?Blush

Yes, your service providers will be there, working for you, all day and should be given a meal. Typically the minister would sit with you as your guest and the DJ and all other service providers such as photographers and videographers would be served at a table away from the guests. Since your DJ is a friend of the family it would be nice to ask him and his wife to join the guests for dinner however, if you are planning to have music while your guests are eating there should be a DJ partner/assistant or possibly a pre-recorded disc so that there will be background music at dinner.

Have Fun!
