     To invite or not

My brother is 12 years older than me & so I never was really close with him. He has married someone that I do not get along with & his children are horrible. I haven't seen him in about 3 years & he only lives 30 miles away from me. I am now getting married & do not want to invite him for fear of him embarassing me with his wife and/or kids. Is it too tacky not to invite him?

-confused!

This is a personal decision but, you should only invite those with whom you're close. But, note that if you don't invite him and he finds out, I'm sure that won't help your relationship.

I agree. And, it isn't just your brother who may be upset once he finds out about the wedding. Your other family members may be upset as well--a lot to consider.
