     Uninvited guests

Is it appropriate to invite people who were not invited to the wedding to the rehearsal dinner and/or a post-honeymoon reception ?

No. Put yourself in the place of the guest. Would you like to be invited to the rehearsal dinner if you weren't invited to the wedding? Personally, I'd feel insulted. Plus, the rehearsal dinner is just for those involved in the rehearsal.

Inviting guests not invited to the wedding to a reception later on is fine though.
