     Website Announcement

My fiance and I already have our invitations in hand and are getting ready to send them out. We have many people travelling from the east coast to AZ for the wedding and have put together a website with a lot of good information for them including registry info. We want to spread the word about the website to everyone (especially those travelling) but don't know how since the invitations are already printed. Is this a time we should just print out little inserts for the invites or that too tacky? I had also thought of getting the clear return address labals and print the website on there and use them to seal the inner envelope. Thanks for the help,

Dear Website Announcement,

Yes, it would be a bit tacky to use an enclosure to announce your web site. The main reason is because this is a tool to help announce your registry information. Using the clear labels would not be a good idea either. It seems to commercial. The envelopes are suppose to be handwritten, so anything printed on the outside doesn't seem right.

So, you are left with either trying to get the word out by word of mouth and emailing all of your friends, or you could shoulder the cost of sending a cute little postcard (separately from the invitations) to your guests to let them know that you have a new wedding website. Because you probably have information that they might need besides registries, this seems to be a valid move.

Congratulations on your up-coming wedding.

Sincerely,
