     Wedding etiquette for pregnant bride.

I am trying to plan a wedding for the middle of February, but I am having some problems. I will be around 5 1/2 months pregnant when we get married. We are having the wedding at my church with family and a few friends. I just want a small ceremony, something semi-formal, but my fiancee' wants to wear a tux and have 3 siblings as the 3 bridesmaids and have 3 groomsman. I don't want to over-do the situation, but he insists on having it like that. Please help. Any suggestions?

Dear Wedding Etiquette,

There are many pregnant brides these days. There is no reason to hide. You can have any wedding you wish.

If he wants more attendants, then so be it. You don't have to have the same amount on your side.

A tux is worn for formal evening weddings though. So, if he wants to wear one, your event should be in the evening. Your dress would have to match his in formality.

Best wishes,

No one can really tell you what sort of wedding to have. - it's a personal decision. Be sure to have a lot of discussion with your groom. Compromise and communication are keys to a successful marriage. Practice now by talking this all out and coming to a mutually satisfying decision.
