     Wedding on a boat

im having my wedding on a 100 ft schooner off Amelia Island, I am having a brunch the next day so I am only doing Hors d'oeuves, champagne & wine on the boat. My question is, when do i serve them?

Should the drinks and food be available when the get there, when we sail or after the service (1 hour out to sea?). Any ideas on if the cake should be done on the boat or the next day at the brunch?

Dear Wedding on a boat,

This seems like a personal decision. If you are considering your hors d'oeuves and beverages somewhat of a reception meal, then you should serve them after your ceremony. You can have your cake anytime, but your guests may expect it that night.

Best wishes,
