     Winter Wedding Etiquette

Is there anything to take into consideration (etiquette) having a winter (January) wedding? Time of ceremony, type of reception, food, etc.?

Dear Heather,

Not really, except for the weather concerns. Color seems to be somewhat of an issue as well. You would probably want to choose colors that are associated with that time of year.

Your food selection is based on the time of day and formality of your wedding. If you want to serve only cake and a beverage, you would schedule your wedding for a time when guests do not expect a meal. For a more formal wedding, you would be expected to provide a meal. So, there are those concerns.

Best wishes,

I agree with Rebecca. And, I would also add that the type of attire you select for your wedding attendants might need a little extra consideration depending upon what region of the country you live in.

Cheers!
