Wording thank you cards for monetary gifts

I am not sure on how to word my thank you cards to guests who gave money. I do not want to wriet, Thanks for the money" since that seems tacky. Could please give me some suggestions for wording? Thank you so much!

You can start by thanking the guest for sharing your day and thank them for the generous gift. Mention your plans for the gift. For instance; John and I have purchased a new set of cookware with your generous gift and we hope to invite you to our new home to enjoy a supper made from the new cookware.

Always make the note personal and not just a pre-written card with your name signed at the bottom to show how much you appreciate the gift and your guest.
