     money tree

my sister is planning her wedding and would like to know if there is a proper way to ask for a money tree instead of traditional wedding gifts. If there is we would appreciate an email to jdwarrenfeltz@iowatelecom.net to let us know.

thank you

The only way to politely let others know of your desire to have a monetary donation as a gift is to have the word spread by friends and family members. Please do not list this in an invitation since you are asking for your guest to join you at your wedding...an invitation is not a plea for a gift. Listing your desired gift would be an assumption on your part that the guest is, in fact, bringing a gift.
