We are on a tight budget for our september wedding and already have to pay a lot for all the kids in my family who will be attending. As for our friends that have children, we would like to request that they do not bring their children, so that we can somewhat keep our costs down. How would I word this appropriately? Thank you...Jennifer

Don't know if this will help but on an invitiion we recently received, it stated thet "2" seats were reserved for Mr. and Mrs ........ We have 3 children. No where on the invitation did it so "no children" but because the number of seats being reserved was specific-we got the message. I might add that several other family members did also.

Dear Not Inviting,
It would not be appropriate to write this on your invitation. However, the use of response cards has become quite common these days and simplifies matters such as this. The card itself does not include the number of people invited. Those names appear on the outer and inside envelope. Those are the only people invited to the reception.
