     parents refusing to attend

How to set up the head table for my reception? My fiances parents are refusing to attend the wedding. Here is a list of people for the head table:

Groom, Myself (Bride), Matron of Honour, Best Man, two Brides Maids, two Grooms Men, two Flower girls (My daughter, age 9 and His daughter, age 6), Ring Bearer (Our son, age 2)and My Mom and Dad.

Start your head table from the bride and groom in the center. You (the bride) will be on his right and your attendants should be to your right and his to the left. Now for the children, you can seat them at the head table beyond the Groom's attendants and your parents beyond your attendants.

Since there is so little time spent at the head table by the attendants, I would suggest that your parents and your children be placed at a guest table just beyond the head table. That way when you and your attendants have vacated the head table, they're not left sitting there all alone and it allows guests to approach them more easily.

Cheers,

Nancy
