     reception-out of town,inviting kids

My problem is my fiance and I do not want a lot of children at the reception. I have asked my 2 cousins from out of town to be my flowergirls, we want them to be at the reception. but if we say adult only, how do we ask other guests from out of town not to bring their kids? then what about the flowergirls' siblings? are they able to come? if I invite all the kids there will be 30 kids there, and we feel that is too many!!!

Dear Reception,

Unfortunately you opened the door to children at your reception by having flower girls. Plus, you cannot have those girls at your reception, but not their siblings.

It is not appropriate to write "adults only" or "no children" on your invitations. Only those invited to your wedding and receptions should be listed on the outside of the inner envelope. Some will bring their children anyway. So, you may want to plan some sort of activity or reserve a room for them.

Best wishes,
