My finance and I have been engaged for a while. Due to an educational internship we have been living in separate states for about a year. By the time we get married we will have been engaged for 2 1/2 years.
In the past few weeks my future sister-in-law has gotten engaged and has just sent me an email regarding her wedding. She asked me if I would be offended or hurt if she got married before I did (about 9 months before).
Is it selfish of me to feel that she should wait since her brother and I began this journey first? I wouldn't be so torn if she weren't family.

Re: [rdufresne4] sister-in law wants to get married first

Dear rdufresne4,
There is nothing wrong with her wanting to get married before you. You have to wait and she doesn't have those restrictions. It would be unreasonable and unfair for anyone to ask or expect her to wait.
9 months is plenty of time between your wedding and hers.
