You guys were so helpful before. The wedding is this weekend, and I have a few last minute questions. Scenario: I am stepmother of bride, widowed (her father died when I was 2 months pregnant, when she was 20), our son is 8. I helped raise her for 10 years. We are on pretty good terms, I have not been involved in wedding planning and have tried to be gracious about stepping aside. She is not the most communicative young woman. Am being seated as a mother, but not in the official rehearsal, so a little clueless (hoping it will work out day of). Attended shower (a full day of driving) and MOB could only say hello and goodbye, which, finally, after 20 years, I realize has nothing to do with me. I've done everything I can at this point.
Should I make a toast at the rehearsal dinner or just not get involved? Thanks.
