     wedding gifts

My daughter who is in the military and stationed in Italy is getting married in the states. Because of her limited space, and the necessity to travel overseas after the wedding, gifts could be a problem. How do I tactfully respond to those asking what she would like as a gift? Money would be wonderful, but I feel awkward saying that? What is your suggestion?

Dear Militarymom,

If people ask, tell them the truth. You could also tell them that it makes you feel uncomfortable to say so, but that is truly the best gift for her now.

Best wishes,
