     Eiffel tower vases

I am making arrangments to go in 24 "eiffel tower vases. There is a special insert that I bought to make sure it stays put but I'm afraid they will be top heavy. I already found out the hard way that marbles don't fit in the vase. I don't want to use water, God forbid it should fall over I would hate to get water all over someone. Any suggestions?

Unimpressed Those eiffel towers can be troublesome. You will need to fill them with marbles or water. Maybe you can find smaller marbles. There is also a clear acrylic solution that will harden and look like water that you might try.

Be sure the arrangements are heavier in the center right over the opening than they are around the edges. Even balance will be important. Take care to achieve that and allow plenty of time to do the work. It will make a big difference in the outcome. Good Luck!

Thanks so much for the information. We are using mirrors under the centerpieces. Somewhere I heard about museum wax (it's a transparent wax that they use on glass in museum displays) and thought it might be worthwhile to put some on the bottom of the vase then set it on the mirror to add a little more stability. I have already made a few and they don't seem to wobbley, but I have heard too may horror stories of them falling over.

I think the mirrors are a good idea. There is a sticky stuff called cling that will work too...It is probably about the same thing. Glad it is working out and have a great wedding!
