Getting married in 3 weeks, can't decide on colours for my bouquet... HELP please!!

Hi,

I'm getting married in 3 weeks- 8th April. I'm wearing a pale gold gown with darker gold embroidery, Its made up of a sleeveless corset and a fishtail skirt with a small train.

Firstly should I have a trailing bouquet (which I love) or a round posy, I'm worried the trailing one will emphasise my hips a little too much? Which one do you think will compliment the skirt shape better?

Secondly my outfit is pale gold with darker gold embroidery and my bridesmaids are wearing pale green (pastel green), I would like to have calla lilies and rose buds in my bouquet but I can't decide whether they should be cream or ivory/white, ? Any help will be very much appreciated Blush Crazy Shocked

Smile Hi, Your dress sounds lovley! You also had great questions! I will say for sure that a drop cascade bouquet will probably be a lot more flattering to your hips than a posey. The long line will create flattering curves. Just be sure your florist follows the rule of not making your bouquet any more than 2/3rds the width of the brides waist. (Any length is fine)

Your choice of flowers sounds nice too. Some golden hued roses to look for are Sandy Femma, Metalina, leandra, and the more white Akito. Stick with the white mini callas. You are the Bride and they will be perfect.

I would also suggest you look at cymbidium orchids. (hit google) They come in many shades and can be used individually (although they grow on a long stem.) The reason I want you to see them is that generally the outer petals are a tone lighter than the throats and the throats usually have a dotted stitching sort of look to them. It might be a great detail with your gown.

For your bridesmaids just stick with a simple round bouquet...small too. Also look at cymbidiums there too as they can be got in soft green too.

I wish you a georgeous wedding and an even better marriage...Take care and be happy!!!Wink

Hi Sue, Thank you so much for your advice, especially about the width of the bouquet- my florist hadn't mentioned this. I will definitely look at the cymbidiums you've suggested, they sound lovely.

Thank you once again, you've been a great help!! x Laugh Saj
