I would like to know if anyone has any ideas on how to hang pew bows on pews without clips. The church protocol specifically says, "only rubber bands and ribbons may be use. no tape, thumbtakcs, metal or plastic holders, staple guns or other means of fastening are permitted." Does anyone have a picture of how one can be hung? Thankyou very much.

There is practically always a way to just tie on the bows with lengths of ribbon. Just take a yard and a half length of satin ribbon and tie it around the entire end of the pew...Tie it in a knot nice and tight and then wire or tie the bow on. A faster but sort of tacky alternative is to use a big thick huge rubber band around the same area. Just go try it...it is easier than you think!!! Pew clips sometimes pop off if the bench is thick. That is probably the reasoning behind that rule...No worries...just go experiment...its a cinch...have a good one. Sue of Hobart's Fine Florals http://www.hobartsfineflorals.com

Re: [wendylou330] How to hang wedding pew bows

We decided to start building elastic bands into the back of the bows. It's worked like a charm. The pew clips might scratch the pew. The bands help avoid that. They also help hide how the pew bows are hung.
