Mixing different types of wedding flowers

I was thinking of having a red roses for the brides bouquet then have the bridesmaids carry white calla lillies. Is it ok to mix different types of wedding flowers?

There is nothing wrong with mixing types of flowers. It seems to be a popular and beautiful trend for the bride to carry the more colorful bouquet these days, and can be a lot of fun.

The suggestions I would give you are to be sure the bridal bouquet is more dramatic. For the attendants I really like the look of small arm bouquets with just couple of really great blooms and a great interesting ribbon wrap.

If you want to use white callas for the girls you might consider using a contrasting ribbon to not look too "bridal." You may also want to use a few small red spray roses with the callas. WinkIt all sounds pretty...go for it!
