Asking guests to bring flowers to make bride's bouquet

I have an idea and I'm not sure how to present it. I will be getting married in April in the Carribbean. Our wedding will be on the beach and very informal. I thought it might be fun to have each guest bring flowers (which are growing everywhere) and either create a unique bouquet for me or have them strewn on the beach as sort of an "aisle". Is this odd? How would I ask the guests (25 of them) to do this?

Dear Maggs,

It isn't polite to ask guests to bring anything and to bring flowers may just be a logistical nightmare.

It would have been pretty though.

Best wishes,
