I would like to know what type of flowers would look good for my bouquet and centerpieces, following an Autumn theme, given the fact that my wedding dress is beige with black ribbon under the chest. Thank You.

Fall weddings lend many fun and creative options when it comes to flowers. Some flowers that will be readily available in the orange, yellow and burgundy color scheme would be roses, carnations, alstroemeria, asiatic lilies, chrysanthemums, and the list goes on. Check with your floral designer to see photos and different varieties that these come in.
Some fun items to incorporate into your florals would be chinese lanterns, leucadendron, kniphofia, cockscomb, croton leaves, amaranthus, cattails, conflower, or proteas. To add even more of an autumn feel, you can incorporate gourds, pumpkins, tall branches or other season fruits and vegetables into your centerpieces. Having an autumn wedding allows you to use the beauty of nature and tie it into your festivities.
Whether you choose to carry a colorful bouquet that also ties the autumn colors in with the rest of your wedding or whether you would like to go with something more neutral, you can tie in the black sash of your dress with black millet. You could also use black ostrich feathers to add some drama and elegance.

I could make suggestions all day, but you need to get some ideas narrowed down. I love the beige and black idea. You probably want to pick another accent color. What are your bridesmaids wearing? What is the venue like; elegant , casual, modern or classic? Start bending your imagination around these kinds of thoughts to narrow down the field. Each wedding is personal and different. Get your mind around it. About the only flower you can't get in fall is the peony. Some of the special offerings are dahlias, orchids and all sorts of berries. Gerber daisies with black eyes are fun and might be something to consider. There is way too much to offer to start naming them off. Search the internet for flower types and then go see the best florist in town to help you narrow the choices. Whether of not you work with them they will be a great source of local information. Good luck and have fun.
