     Buttonhole & corsage

We are getting married, on a tight budget at the register office.

The plan was just to have button holes for the father's and step father of the bride and groom, along with the male witness and groom.

Mother of the bride, is insisting that she and the female witness and mother & step mother of the groom should have corsages.

Is this necessary, as bride and groom feel it is an unnecessary expense, but the mother of the bride is kicking up a fuss.

Please help

Dear Bride,

This isn't necessary. If she wants flowers, she may purchase them.

Best wishes,

Although none of the flowers are an obligation you have given flowers to the men. It might be best, to save the peace. if you went ahead and provided a small corsage for the women. These can be made yourselves to save money.

Smile A good simple compromise is to give each lady a single long stemmed rose...Probably a $3 to $5 expense vs. $15...even less with supermarket flowers you bow up yourself. Keep em all happy!Wink
