Can't Decide on Colors for my Wedding Flowers and Bouquet
Out of all of the decisions that need to be made, the flowers are tripping me up the most.
My colors are lavender, dark purple (very dark, not plum) and white with minimal silver accents here and there. We ended up with so many colors due to the need for a MOH dress that fit and was flattering to my sis..long story I won't bore you with
Anyway..I am ordering the flowers from a highly recommended farm. I've also ordered a test bouquet and am very pleased with them. The flowers I've choosen for the big day are vendella roses, oceana (osiana) peach roses, English lavender, love in the mist, and tree fern. Do you think this will work, or clash? I want the bouquets to "pop" and not be exactly the same color..trying to avoid the wedding looking like it got hit with a purple stick..but I just cannot pull this together in my brain and it's obviously an unusual enough combo that I can't find any good pictures of it either. Oh..and to make matters even worse, all the tulle deco and tablecloths will be white, and my dress is ivory. Another long story that isn't fixable at this point.
Should I change the peach roses to pink? I worry about that because of the very pale peachish/ivory tones of the vendellas (which I really kind of have my heart set on as they are my favorite roses).
Thank you very much in advance for any advice you may have!
Deana

I actually think you have a great look going! Osiana roses are georgeous against lavender and purple. I don't think you will get a pop, but you will get a nice soft blend that looks great. You might consider stepping the shade of the peach roses up a notch ( a rose called Sari is a possibility ) against the darker purple gown or gowns, but overall I would say stop worrying. The vendela rose is a beauty and all your other chioces will look creative and good! . Try to think of the dresses as a background for the bouquets and maybe your vision will clear up...You are on the right track, just worrying too much. It goes with the territory with Brides to be ! Another note along those lines is that the white and ivory combination is also a great blend and will be just fine. Also Osiana roses break apart to make the most lovely soft loose petals. Maybe a full on peach, ivory white blending on the tabls and such is a possibility. Deana, your wedding will be beautiful. Enjoy this stuff and trust your tastes. They sound pretty good to me, and I would tell you the truth if I saw a problem. Breathe, smile and have a great time! Sue of Hobart's Fine Florals http://www.hobartsfineflorals.com
