I'm not really into flowers, and we're having a "dressy casual" wedding. I'm making a semi-formal dress with no train, and my fiance will be in a chemise, vest, and dress slacks. We're getting married in the same place as our reception. I don't see a purpose for a bouquet other than to look nice in pictures, which will be mostly candid shots (besides family shots). Should I carry something at least? And if so, and it isn't flowers, what else could I carry?

You could try something smaller like a kissing ball or even just a single rose... Also, you could have a bouquet made for just formal shots and not use one during the wedding itself. Ultimatly, it's your wedding and you can do whatever you want.

Nothing says you have to carry a bouquet...Dig into your personality to figure something out...A candle, sparkler, mardi gras beads, puppy, butterflies, special handkercheif, grandmas baby spoon...whatever...Whatever it is ...make it special and be happy!!! A puppy!! lol that's hysterical!! I HAVE to tell my fiance about THAT one! (I've been asking him for a puppy, unfortuantely our landlord won't allow it and we don't have a fenced in yard) A sparkler sounds cool.. I love those things, but I'm not sure our venue will allow it, I'll have to ask. I thought of the candle thing.. maybe have the groom walk down the aisle with a candle as well, and we can use those to light our unity candle... but I like the puppy idea!
