     Flower Prices

What is the average cost of flowers for a wedding? My wedding will have 6 bridesmaids and groomsmen, be in a Catholic church, and have 300 people attending the reception. Please advise....my father and I totally disagree!

Dear Flower Prices,

It would be impossible to tell you how much flowers will cost not knowing where you are located, how elaborate you'll be decorating approx. 30 tables at the reception, etc. You should allow a minimum of 10% of your budget for your florals.

hi 300 is a lot of guests..I think you are looking at a minimum of $2500 if you want nice centerpieces...I work in flowers in the northeast. When you consider all your other expenses you get alot of enjoyment out of the flowers and they set your mood for the day. When you are talking about expenses ask each other about priorities. I find that an open bar is usually more expensive than the flowers...do you really need a limo ...band or dj etc? Could you trim the number of guests...All big things to think about. Don't argue with dad...go do your flower consultations and let their proposals speak to Dad and take it from there. Any decent floral designer can help you come up with classy solutions to fit a budget...if not keep looking
