Flower color to coordinate with burgundy bridesmaid dresses

I'm getting married July 1, 2006 and I'm stressing over what color flowers my bridesmaids and I should have! I chose the color wine for the girls dresses and since its a dark color for the summer, I wanted to lighten things up a bit with the flowers. Any suggestions on what colors would look pretty together? Or are there any websites that have pictures? I was thinking a soft pink color for the BM's but I wanted to throw another color in there to make them stand out yet still match.

SmileThere is certainly no need to get stressed! Wine is a great color. I've used it with soft to hot pink mixes and it is really beautiful. One of my favorites ideas is to use those colors and go all accross the red pink and purple side of the color wheel. All pinks, lavender and purple; even a touch of periwinkle blue as well as hot vibrant light red and hot pink. Purple tones of the blue like periwinkle can be a great accent. Just make sure you keep toward purple and not true blue which can get patriotic. Just about anything will look good if you minimize the blue and dark greens in the flowers. There are amazing bicolored gerber daisies that can provide inspiration. Colors like salmon with wine edges and butter with wine centers. Have some fun with it!!!! Google up wedding bouquets for pictures to get ideas and examples. Go see your florist and have a consultation to free up your imagination. If they are the one for you they will give good ideas and put your mind at ease....Happy flowering!!!
