     Flowers dyed brown for wedding

Hello:

I would like to have actual brown roses and I thought I saw somewhere that people dyed flowers. Is this true? My colors are chocolate and ice blue. I would really like to have brown flowers but the leonidas are not really brown. Thanks for the help.

Have you seen the Terra Nostra rose?

TongueDyed flowers are not a good idea unless you want to ruin your gown and possibly anything the flowers touch. The dyes are highly permeable ones meaning meant to spread through the flowers stems into the petals. Not a good idea.

Your color combination has great potenital and natural flowers are available to accomidate it beautifully. There are beige and brown hued flowers thet will work for you. There is a new spray rose called cappuchinno that is beautiful. Also the leonidas rose is a funny one in that when it is very tight in bud it tends to look a bit orange but as it matures it gets browner. Buy one and watch it over the course of about 10 days to see what I mean.

What about using blue flowers like hydrangea for the main flowers then adding brown hypericum berries, gerber daisies ...which do come in brown, and sticks or seed pods for accents.
